Welcome to Hurstville
Community Food Services previously known as Hurstville Meals
on Wheels. We are a community service organised to help you
live more comfortably in your own home. We deliver to the frail
aged, the disabled of all ages and their carers. You do not
need a doctor’s certificate to join our service and anyone
can refer a new client.
Hurstville Meals on Wheels started in 1967, operating from
Depot Road, Peakhurst. There were re-locations to Rosa Street
Hurstville then to Patrick St., Hurstville, a Council owned
cottage which was the base from 1980 – 2003.
In 2003 the service moved to its current location, sub leasing
space from the Peakhurst Bowling Club, 7 Holley Road, Beverly
Hills.
In order to re-locate a DA had to be lodged with Council
and a new industrial kitchen was built.
In recognition of a new phase of life for the service, the
current name as adopted.
